President’s Message (October)
Greetings to all members of the National Association of County Administrators (NACA).
I am pleased to serve as your President so let me know how I can serve you better for the reminder of my tenure.
As you know, NACA provides us with a valuable network of professionals who have committed to public service, with whom we can share insights on county-specific management challenges and opportunities.
NACA encourages professional excellence to improve the management of county government. Our members are county administrators & managers from across the country, and many are members of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and their counties belong to the National Association of Counties (NACo).
We are all proud to provide support for professionally administered county government. NACA is valuable in several ways such as providing a peer network of professional county administrators and promoting professional development and recognition of very critical work performed by you all daily in the nation’s counties. As administrators we deeply committed to employee wellness therefore I want to provide this opportunity to highlight the October as Breast Cancer awareness month and promote country wide efforts to reduce the impact of this disease through prevention and regular screenings. Let’s all elevate awareness, prevention, survivors, and ultimately a cure to this disease. Promote organizations such as the National Breast Center Foundation, Inc.
For information on what we are involved in please check the NACA website at countyadministrators.org for information or to find out how to reach me regarding things we are doing that you like and ideas on how to make NACA more of a valued resource for you. County government provides so many critical and essential services so let’s all promote our work to the fullest extent possible!
Once again, thanks for your support. Wishing you a wonderful fall season and I look forward to seeing you all at the 2025 NACO Legislative Conference March 1-4 in Washington D.C.!
Yours Truly,
Kenneth N. Wilson, MPA, CTA, ECI
President, NACA
