President’s Message January 2025
I would like to wish all members of the National Association of County Administrators (NACA) a healthy and prosperous 2025.
As I enter the last half of my tenure as your President, I am grateful for this opportunity, and I hope that my service has been of value to all NACA members.
As you know, NACA provides us with a valuable network of professionals who have committed to public administration, with whom we can share insights on county-specific management challenges and opportunities.
NACA encourages professional excellence to improve the management of county government. Our members are county administrators & managers from across the country, and many are members of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and their counties belong to the National Association of Counties (NACo).
We are all proud to provide support for professionally administered county government. NACA is valuable in several ways, such as providing a peer network of professional county administrators and promoting professional development and recognition of very critical work performed by you all daily in the nation’s counties.
For information on what we are involved in, please check the NACA website at countyadministrators.org for information or to find out how to reach me regarding things we are doing that you like and ideas on how to make NACA more of a valued resource for you. We also have a presence on LinkedIn, so please follow us there. Our counties provide many critical and essential services, so let’s all fully promote our work via multiple channels! We are constantly looking for additional ways to provide relevant public administration content to our members. Thanks to everyone who participated in the first-ever NACA Virtual Idea Exchange last month via Zoom, I would like to again thank our partner Mission Square Retirement for assisting with this sponsorship.
Once again, thanks for your support. and I look forward to seeing you all at the 2025 NACo Legislative Conference March 1-4 in Washington, D.C.!
Yours Truly,
Kenneth N. Wilson, MPA, CTA, ECI
President, NACA
